When I started beekeeping

I was very fortunate to have had a mentor when I got into beekeeping.

What started as a job gradually and unintentionally became an apprenticeship for 15 years. I really miss those days with my mentor. He had a lot of patience with me and saw me through the years of having zero thinking skills to anticipating our working needs really well. My mind finds itself reminiscing more and more these days of those times.

Starting off with him was easy because I didn’t have to guess which tools I needed or anything like that. He had everything for me and I used it and learned how to manage everything over time.

It wasn’t until I began teaching beekeeping myself that I realized how good I had it. My students had the worst hive tool on the market, cheap protective gear and equipment that was not easy to manage.

Some of the hives we managed in FL. See that Acura behind? I was borrowing that when the timing belt broke. We towed it home and there it sat…forever.

That is what helped to birth this new course, covering not just the tools, protective gear and beekeeping equipment but how to use and manage them as well.

With something like 25 videos, 3 hours of material and the resources of where to purchase what’s needed to get started, my new course takes the guesswork out of beekeeping that new beekeepers did not even realize they needed.

If you know someone who would love to get into beekeeping, give them the gift of this COURSE and when you do that between now and December 24th, you can save $47 because why not?! Using the code: THEHIVEDOCTOR47 at checkout gets you that discount.

Here’s to the bees!
